What If Wednesday takes on Eke

I have been going through my resources for tangles that I have forgotten. While hunting for one to use in response to a journal prompt, I ran across Eke. It seemed a good tangle with which to play "What If". It begins with lower case cursive e's all strung together. So...I thought, "What if I use other letters?" Feeling quite pleased with myself, I found the step out for Eke over at Sandy Bartholomew's,  Beez in the Belfry. If you go to her site, you will find she had the same idea several years ago. It was before I had even heard of Zentangle!

Below are the results of trying Eke using other cursive letters. I used the small Bijou tiles and mounted them on cardstock in preparation for putting them in my art journal. Eke is in the middle. Going clockwise from the top, I used cursive h, r, s, and c.

Now, what else could we do with Eke?
1. Create a cursive like string of shapes that are not letters?
2. Use a combination of 2 or 3 letters?
3. Connect geometric shapes in a string?
4. What are some ways we can shade the variations?
5. ?????
