Wishing you a Merry Christmas

This year's Advent Journey has brought us to Christmas.

I was so close to not sending out Christmas cards this year. I had been waiting for inspiration…for that perfect idea and those perfect thoughts to go with it.
I gave up on inspiration and decided to print out my “Advent Journey” blog posting for the front of my card.

I have been reading The Greatest Gift by Ann Voskamp. The readings are based on the Jesse Tree with beautiful paper cut illustrations. There are two quotes that particularly struck me from the reading about the angel’s visit to Mary and how she surrendered herself to God’s grace and will. First: “When you are a space to receive whatever the will of God is in this moment as grace, you take hold of God. You most take hold of God when you simply receive Him in this moment taking hold of you.” And, second: “There is no need to produce or perform or be perfect --- simply become a place for God. That is all.”

My card went out late and it was not perfect, but as the lyrics of “Let It Go” run through my head, I choose to believe this process has been one of those “holy coincidences” that result in simply becoming a place for God. I hope this all makes sense or at least gives you fodder for reflection.

( You can find the tangles I used and links to their step outs in my previous December posts.)

So, what's next? I am ready to continue my Zentangle practice into 2015. There are many choices and I like variety. But I'm ready with my Tangle-A-Day Calendar 2015, mixed media journal, official Zentangle tiles and my wooden chest for storing my Zentangle tools.

Have a Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year.
